Christmas Done Minimally! How I Finished My Shopping Before November 15!

Switching from micromanaging my shopping to shopping by category has changed my Christmas shopping game FOREVER!

I used to stress over the amount of gifts each child got, and the amount of money we spent on each trying to keep everything fair. It was unnecessarily stressful.

Now we have a category system. Each child gets the following:

*Something to read

*Something to wear

*Something to build

*"The Toy"

*An accessory for "The Toy"

* A Dad's wildcard random gift.

This has made shopping easier, and more intentional. Instead of purchasing filler gifts just because I have purchased things that I really feel my children will enjoy.
