I’m not big on candy, so I try to do something fun and sugar free for the usual candy giving holidays. This Easter not only am I going candy free, but I guess I’m going minimalist too. We haven’t always done individual baskets for the kids but we have done individual gifts. This year I’m switching it up a bit and I am doing a group gift.

Why a group gift? I'm battling my children's entitlement. I hope to help them learn to appreciate, and take care of what they have. I know this is a lifelong lesson, and one group Easter gift is not going to win the battle.

LEGO is huge in our house right now, so I knew I wanted to go with a LEGO theme. LEGO is also pretty expensive though.

While searching on amazon I found off brand bricks for a fraction of the price. The reviews looked favorable so I decided to give it a try. I also came across off brand mini figures. The reviews on these were equally as favorable and they came with plastic eggs perfect for Easter!

I am very happy with these purchases! The mini figures and bricks are compatible with authentic LEGO. They are not as solid as the LEGO brand bricks but work just as well.
